The image shows a monument in an obelisk style with a square base and a tall tapering pillar ending in a pyramidal top. The material is depicted as a light-colored stone. There is an inscription on the front of the base dedicating the monument to George S. D. Dane, M.D., with his birth and death dates. Above the inscription, there is a decorative relief showing a seated figure. The scale of the monument appears imposing in comparison to human proportions.
