This is a photograph of a tall industrial chimney. The chimney dominates the center of the image, rising into the sky against a bright and nearly uniform gray sky. The structure is made of brick, with distinct horizontal lines of mortar. A ladder is attached to the chimney, running vertically along its length, composed of metal rungs and safety hoops. Other industrial buildings made of brick surround the base of the chimney, with some protruding vents or equipment. The low-angle perspective emphasizes the enormity and verticality of the chimney within an industrial setting.
