The image is a woodcut-style illustration of a man seated at a table. He is resting his chin on one hand and his other arm lies on the table. The man has a slightly furrowed brow, closed eyes, and a slightly grim line to his mouth. He has short, neatly combed hair and is dressed in a collared shirt with a loose jacket or robe. On the table in front of him is an open book. The background shows a wooden wall with a window revealing a cabin-like room with bookshelves and a snowy landscape outside. Heavy beams add to the rustic setting. In the lower part of the image, there is a large text that reads, "BOOKS MAKE the home."
