The image shows a man from the waist up, seated and slightly turned to the side. He is positioned casually, with his right arm resting on a surface and his left arm hanging down with a cigarette between his fingers. His facial features are somewhat obscured by shadows, but he appears to have a rugged expression. He is wearing a helmet, with dark hair visible peeking out from underneath. He is dressed in a heavy coat and possibly layered clothing underneath; the coat is unbuttoned, and the lapels are slightly turned up. The setting seems to be a transport vehicle or carriage, with wooden slats visible along the bench seating where he sits. The background is bright.
