Baronne de Gunzburg;[1] (her estate sale, Hôtel Drouot, Paris, 12 December 1892, no. 36). George E. Lemon [1843-1896]; his estate; bequest 18 December 1897 to the Corcoran Gallery of Art, Washington; acquired 2015 by the National Gallery of Art.

[1] The 1892 sale catalogue was published with only the name "Madame la Baronne de G." This may possibly have been Rosa Dynin (her maiden name, 1810-1892), the wife of Joseph, 1st barone de Gunzburg (1812-1878), a wealthy Russian financier and philanthropist, primarily for Jewish causes. He was ennobled by the Grand Duke of Hesse-Darmstadt in 1870, and received his title in 1874.
