The artist's daughter, Mercedes Carles Matter [1913-2001], Bethelem, Connecticut;[1] purchased 6 October 1982 through (Joan Washburn Gallery, New York) by the Corcoran Gallery of Art, Washington;[2] acquired 2015 by the National Gallery of Art.
