This is a drawing of two scenes involving horse-drawn carriages in Paris. The top scene shows a carriage driver interacting with an individual under an umbrella, while rain pours down heavily. The bottom scene depicts a carriage driver asleep with the horse pulling the carriage through the city streets. The scenes feature exaggerated facial expressions and elongated figures, created with intricate linework and shading typical of Honoré Daumier's style.
