Artist, British, 1822 - 1902

The image features a multi-arched stone bridge extending diagonally across the scene from the left side to the right. The horizon is low, obscured by the bridge and foliage, creating a sense of enclosure. The bridge sits atop stone pillars reflected in water, creating symmetrical arch shapes. Closest to us are textured stones and foliage on the left. The color palette is a sepia tone, with dark shadows and muted highlights.
