The sculpture depicts a scene from the biblical story of Jonah and the whale. It features a figure, presumably Jonah, with long white hair and a beard wearing a red robe. He is holding a fish, sitting in a small boat with painted accents in shades of brown, blue, and red. The boat is set atop a base resembling a churning sea with waves indicated in white and light blue hues. Beside the boat is a large whale with a dark gray body and a vividly red open mouth. The sculpture is mounted on a rectangular plinth with the words "JONAH AND THE WHALE" in raised, gold-colored letters against a red background, surrounded by black dots. The piece is crafted from a material resembling painted metal.
