The image shows a neoclassical architectural structure viewed from a straight-on perspective. The horizon is low in the composition, aligned with the base of the archway at the center. Various statues adorn the structure. The brushstrokes and line work are precise and detailed, akin to an engraving or etching. The color palette is dominated by sepia tones. Figures and horses closest to us suggest motion. Additional architecture can be seen beyond the main archway.
