Artist, American, 1895 - 1965

The image shows a landscape with a series of churches. A wooden church with a tilted steeple is in the foreground, supported by a wooden pole. Further back, two more churches with distinct steeples are visible in an open grassland. The horizon is low, emphasizing the sky filled with clouds. The color palette is monochrome, highlighting light and shadow contrasts. The texture of the wooden churches and grass adds depth, and the image has a slight graininess reminiscent of traditional film photography.
