The landscape is observed from an elevated or mid-level viewpoint. The horizon is towards the upper third of the image, marked by distant hills. The etching technique gives a detailed style, with fine lines showing textures of the landscape and clouds. The color palette is monochromatic, using shades of black and white. Large trees with canopies frame the scene on the left, shrubbery and smaller trees on the right. A winding path leads into the scene where figures and animals are moving. In the distance, gently sloping hills provide scale, with sparse clouds in the sky.
