The artwork depicts a landscape with a woodland scene viewed from a slightly elevated position. The horizon is positioned about halfway up the image, with open fields and a few scattered trees stretching into the distance. The left side shows a dense cluster of trees with full canopies, while the right side features two figures, possibly hunters, with dogs among foliage. The brushstrokes are precise, with detailed crosshatching techniques used for textures. The color palette is monochromatic, using various shades of black and grey. In the distance, an open and expansive landscape is bordered by a cloudy sky.
