The image shows three women captured from the waist up, standing or sitting close together. The woman on the left is sitting, leaning back against something with her legs out of view, while the other two women are standing. All three women have their heads covered with scarves tied under their chins and are wearing modest, warm clothing: coats and skirts. The facial features of the women are unclear due to the image quality, but they appear to have traditional, plain hairstyles concealed by the scarves. None of the women visibly wear jewelry. In front of them is a table or cart with a wooden box containing several loaf-like items covered with cloths. The background consists of other boxes and potentially market stalls, as well as indistinct figures and goods, which imply that this is a busy marketplace setting.
