In this painting, a white dish with a gold rim sits on a brown surface. In the bowl there are three large purple plums surrounded by smaller gooseberries. The gooseberries are in shades of pale yellow and pink, some tinged with green. A small leafy vine rests on top of the fruit in the bowl. To the left, on the brown surface next to the bowl, is a group of four red and yellow strawberries connected to a small stem. The background is brown.
