In this painting, a wicker basket is filled with yellow pears and a few red cherries. The basket rests on a table, and more pears and cherries are scattered in front of it, casting shadows on the white tablecloth. There is a piece of fabric hanging over the handle of the basket; the cloth is white with red trim and frayed edges. The background is dark brown.
