The image depicts a man and a woman seated at a wooden table outdoors. The man, on the left, is leaning slightly forward with his hands on the table holding a smoking pipe. He has a long white beard and is wearing a silver top hat with yellow fabric or ribbon. He is dressed in a dark coat. The woman, to his left, has her hands resting on the table. She has dark hair partly covered with a white headscarf and wears a pink dress with ruffles. An umbrella is overhead. The table is cluttered with papers, and a sign with handwritten text hangs off its side. The background shows a green door against a light-colored wall, with a worn fabric strip at the top.
