This is a photograph of a large mushroom cloud rising over a body of water. The image captures a cloud formed by an explosion, which is rising vertically above the horizon over the sea. The lower half of the image possibly features an object or area with indistinct dark shapes which frame the scene. The monochromatic tone of the image emphasizes the contrast between the bright cloud and the darker surroundings.
