Associated Names
The image shows a group of African American children seated at tables in a restaurant or diner setting. The photograph displays their upper bodies and focuses on about eight individuals. The child closest to the camera is seated sideways at a table and wears a short-sleeved shirt. The individual has short, closely-cropped hair and is looking directly at the camera. To the left, a girl with her back to the camera, wearing a light-colored dress and with her hair pulled into a bun with a ribbon, is seated at a table. Another girl in a striped top with short sleeves and short hair is engaged in conversation with a smiling boy in a plaid shirt. Other boys are at the tables, sitting and facing different directions, some with short haircuts. The tables are adorned with napkin dispensers and condiments. In the background, there are tan booths with a potted plant atop the partition, and young onlookers from different tables are partially visible.
