This is a painting of a heraldic emblem with an eagle and shield. The image shows an eagle with outstretched wings, holding a bundle of arrows in one talon and an olive branch in the other. The eagle looks towards a circular arrangement of stars surrounded by a cloud-like element. A shield with vertical red and white stripes and a blue field with stars covers the eagle's body. Above the eagle's head is a banner with the inscription "E PLURIBUS UNUM." This is in the style of traditional American heraldry.
