The image shows a child standing and partially running with its right foot forward. The child is looking up towards the sky with a slightly open mouth. The child has short wavy hair and is wearing loose, flowing historical clothing. The child's left hand is reaching up and the right arm is bent at the elbow, pointing upwards. The child is outside near a building with an open door, next to a landscape with a small hill or mountain and a few trees. Above the child, a rooster is depicted on a rope or branch. The scene has a rustic and historical feel with intricate cross-hatching defining the textures and shadows.
