The image is viewed from a slightly elevated angle, showing a scene with a high horizon. It features a series of tree canopies, a distant building or tower, and detailed lines and crosshatching characteristic of an engraving. The color palette is monochromatic, using shades of black and grey. On the right side, two figures are seen interacting on a path surrounded by foliage and a large tree. Other smaller figures move along a winding path, passing by a rustic cottage with a thatched roof on the left. Trees, birds, and clouds are also depicted in the scene, with distant architectural forms suggesting an old, towering structure partially obscured by trees.
