He has a closely shaved beard, a receding hairline with curly hair on the sides, and is wearing a long, dark overcoat over a buttoned jacket and trousers. He is holding a top hat in his right hand and a walking cane in his left hand. In the background, there is a sketch-like natural landscape with trees and undulating terrain visible.
