The sculpture is a relief depicting a figure standing in the center, holding a sword in one hand and a shield in the other. The figure appears to be a soldier or a knight, dressed in what resembles a period-specific uniform, including a hat. Surrounding this central figure are ornate floral patterns, framing the scene with two larger flowers on either side of the person. Above the figure, there is an arch with more intricate foliage designs, and the text "A.T. NEWCOM 1767" is inscribed prominently above. The material of the sculpture is a textured gray surface. The overall presentation is that of a plaque or panel that would be mounted on a wall, intended to be viewed directly from the front.
