The woman has straight dark hair parted in the middle, and wears a full-skirted dress with a light-colored lace collar. She has a chain around her waist and a brooch at her neckline. The background is plain, with a patterned carpet on the floor. The photograph is vintage, with the name and address "J.P. Ball, 30 W. 4th St" stamped at the bottom.
