The image shows a low-angle view of a small boat being rowed across a river. A woman reclines under a canopy, a man rows the boat, and a young boy is also seen rowing. Surrounding the river are dense trees, with a stately house and a person near the entrance visible in the background. The scene is depicted in a monochromatic palette with finely detailed brushstrokes.
