Artist, French, 1839 - 1899

The image shows a shoreline with a body of water, buildings, and trees in the distance. The horizon is in the upper third of the composition. A few trees and buildings are visible on the horizon. The technique uses light etching lines to create a sketch-like quality. The color palette is various shades of brown and beige. The water reflects the buildings and trees, with subtle ripples indicated by fine lines.
