This is a drawing of a wooden Hitchcock chair dating from 1821-1830. The chair is illustrated with carved decorative designs on the back-slat and seat rails. Two highlighted designs include a fruit basket with foliage and a floral and scroll motif. The chair has turned legs and an interlaced seat, typical of this style of furniture.
