The image shows three women participating in a foot-washing ritual. The women are partially depicted, focusing on their upper bodies and the action of two women washing another woman's foot. They are sitting close to one another with two of them leaning forward to wash. Their faces are partly obscured by shadows. Each woman wears a light-colored headscarf and a white dress. The woman whose foot is being washed sits upright while the others lean over a basin on the floor. The setting is indoors with a wooden background visible, creating an intimate, softly lit atmosphere.
