This is a photograph of a book cover. The cover is dark with elaborate gold decorations. A central ornate gold design forms an oval frame around the words "EXCURSIONS DAGUERRIENNES." The gold embellishments include scrolling floral motifs, curving filigree patterns, and a central crown-like emblem at the top of the oval. The left side of the binding shows signs of wear.
