This is a drawing of a symmetrical garden design plan titled "Parterre Claremont 1855." The central focal point is a large teardrop-shaped parterre with intricate winding paths and various geometric shapes of hedges against a cream background. At the top left and top right corners, there are depictions resembling birdhouses or small gazebos. In the bottom left corner, a sketched rectangle may indicate a trellis or entrance arch. The entire composition is contained within a bordered rectangular frame. The drawing reflects the aesthetic tastes of mid-19th-century landscape design.
