The image shows a man in a sailor's uniform with a mustache and short hair. He is facing slightly right, with his head turned towards the camera. The uniform includes a cap with the inscription "U.S.S. Monadnock" and a sailor's collar with a scarf. The man is surrounded by an ornate floral frame with roses and other foliage, and there is text below the portrait that reads "La-Cheong" and "Hongkong."
