The image features a sepia-toned portrait showing the upper half of a young girl's body. She is posed facing slightly to the right, with her gaze directed away from the camera. Her hair is styled with neat curls cascading down the sides and bangs combed to the side. The girl is wearing a dark dress with a large white collar and a plaid bow at the neck. The background is off-white, with a decorative border surrounding the image. The mount at the bottom of the photograph identifies the studio as "Pifer & Becker, Wilshire Building, Cleveland, Ohio."
