They have a serious expression, rounded cheeks, full lips, and dark, short hair mostly hidden beneath a shiny top hat. They are dressed in a formal outfit consisting of a dark jacket, a patterned waistcoat with light-colored buttons, a white collared shirt, and a striped cravat. A watch chain is visible hanging from the waistcoat. They are holding a cane in their left hand and resting their right hand on the top of a chair beside them. The image is framed with an ornate golden frame with detailed decorations, enclosing the photograph. The background is a plain, light-colored surface.
