The image shows an artillery position with a cannon behind a barricade of earth and sandbags. In the background, there is a line of trees with a lone taller tree slightly right of center. Beyond the cannon, there is an encampment with rows of tents arranged neatly. The landscape has a historical photograph style with monochromatic tones, giving a dusty atmosphere. The color palette is sepia-like browns and grays.
