This drawing shows two individuals standing together outside under an intricate lattice structure. One person, on the left, is kneeling and reaching out towards the person on the right. The kneeling person has hair styled in tight curls and wears a long coat with ornate details, tight-fitting trousers, and shoes, with a hat on the ground beside them. The person on the right is standing, leaning slightly backward, with one hand raised. They have hair in a tall updo and wear a voluminous dress with ruffled elements. There is an open book by the feet of the standing figure. Above the pair, there is a lattice structure hung with floral garlands. Through a gap in this structure, we can see trees and the corner of a building in the distance. The scene is enclosed in a frame, and a label at the bottom reads "Le Mari Sylphe."
