This painting shows a wrought iron staircase and porch with a green railing covered with purple wisteria blossoms. The stairs themselves are tan and brown, and the building behind the porch is not painted except for a few hints of blue windows and a blue column. The ironwork of the railing is detailed, with intricate looping patterns, while the wisteria flowers are depicted with soft brushstrokes strokes in purples, pinks, and greens. In the top right corner of the painting appears to be a detail of the green stair railing, covered with purple blossoms and green leaves. The background is beige paper.”
