The image shows a woman standing upright. She has delicate features, long dark hair covered by a bonnet tied under her chin. She wears a long olive-green dress with a fitted bodice and a wide skirt. Over the dress, she wears a large fringed shawl in gray and white. Her arms are down and her hands are not visible. The background is plain with a faint pencil sketch of a similar figure on the right.
