This is a painting of a small puppet theater with marionettes. The scene features a richly decorated puppet theater proscenium arch adorned with intricate patterns and vibrant colors. At the top of the theater, there is an ornamental panel depicting classical figures in a boat. Below, two puppet marionettes are seen on the stage; one is in a playful bowing pose dressed in colorful garb, and the other stands upright in a dress with a painted, expressive face. The marionettes appear to be of a wooden or paper-mache style typical of traditional puppet shows. The stage is surrounded by draped curtains on each side.
