This is a drawing of a spade-like object decorated with a raised portrait of a man. The central surface of the object that contains the portrait is encased in a pointed, arch-like frame, with a handle extending from it and small legs pointing downward. The portrait depicts the head and shoulders of a man who is turned towards the left. The object is positioned in the center of the paper, tilted slightly upwards. In the top left corner is a side view of the object seen from above and from the side, along with a scale for measurements.
