The sculpture is of a horse in a leaping stance, with its legs extended outward. It is designed in a flat silhouette style, made of dark brown material, potentially metal for use as a weather vane. The outline and shading indicate a weathered and rustic finish. The sculpture is placed against a light gray rectangular background with the inscription "WEATHER : VANE 1/6 ACTUAL SIZE" below it. The creator's name, Elmer G. Anderson, is also inscribed underneath.
