This is a painting of a sculpture depicting a female figure in a long flowing gown. She faces the right and is carrying a flagpole with a blue flag attached. Her other hand points off to the right. Her hair cascades down her shoulder, and a laurel wreath crowns her head. The flag has an arrangement of stars in the top corner nearest the pole. The sculpture is a light brown color. The figure stands on a round base. The background of the painting is plain paper.
