The painting shows an early fire engine being pulled by a horse. The vehicle features a large, red, cylindrical water tank mounted on a blue carriage with large, wooden wheels. The horse is depicted in motion, pulling the fire engine. The style is reminiscent of folk art with simplified forms and vibrant colors. The painting captures a vintage scene of historical fire-fighting transport.
