The image portrays an architectural ruin with stone columns stretching into the distance on both sides. Greenery and sky are visible between the columns and large wooden beams cast shadows. The brushstrokes are delicate, adding texture to the stone, wood, and foliage. Earthy tones dominate the color palette, along with subtle blues and greys for atmosphere. Figures in period clothing are near a horse, and birds soar in the distance. A decorative urn is on a plinth to the right.
