The image is an engraving with a profile portrait of a man facing left. The man has a prominent nose, slightly parted lips, medium-length straight hair, and a cap with a leafy motif. He wears ornate clothing with a luxurious collar. Surrounding the portrait is a circular frame with the inscription "CAROLVS REX CATHOLICVS." The background features an elaborate decorative border with patterns, cherubs, mythical creatures, and foliate designs.
