This is a painting of several cliff swallows and their nests on a rocky surface. The image features three swallows and a cluster of intricate, tube-like nests made from mud on a rock face. The nests have openings. The rock surface shows brown hues and textures. The style is similar to John James Audubon's detailed and realistic portrayals of birds and their habitats.
