Artist, American, 1857 - 1926

The image depicts a wide river scene with an elevated perspective. The horizon is in the upper third of the image, showing a distant bridge and industrial buildings along the riverbank. There is detailed etching with fine lines and soft shading to create a realistic urban landscape. The color palette is monochrome with various shades of brown or sepia. Closer to the viewer are sections of foliage and the riverbank, leading towards a detailed bridge structure dominating the upper section of the image. The bridge has a lattice-like design etched across the top portion.
