This is a drawing featuring a gathering of historical figures in a wooded landscape. The image shows various historical figures in a clearing surrounded by trees. A central figure gestures towards another figure on a small boat to the right. A cherub flies in the sky above holding a banner with the inscription "LA FRANCE LIBRE" ("Free France"). The ground is covered with scrolls and papers, and in the background, other figures observe the scene. The foliage and expressions of the figures suggest a historical or allegorical narrative.
