This is a drawing of two men examining and drinking from glasses and a jug. The scene depicts one figure on the left, eagerly drinking from a large jug. The figure on the right holds a glass, peering skeptically at its contents. Both figures are styled in a manner typical of 19th-century gentlemen. The surrounding handwritten text in French adds context to the scene.
