Artist, German, 1858 - 1925

The image shows a row of trees with vertical trunks at the top of the frame. Behind the trees are dark structures, possibly buildings. The horizon is slightly above the center, with buildings merging with the tree trunks. The scene is monochromatic with bold brushstrokes showing tree details and building shadows. Figures and a small animal are drawn closest to us. The drawing style suggests movement and spontaneity, with black ink on a light background.
